The purpose of this medical mission trip is to establish a health care relationship with the interior community of Tappita, Nimba County in Liberia.

This relationship will be enhanced in subsequent trips to empower the residents of Tappita to take charge of their own health care through education, prevention and encouraging the development of culturally competent health care workers from within the community. This medical mission trip will take place during December 2009 for 21 days. During this time we will also volunteer with the Lord’s Prayer Orphanage.

In addition to the health care outreach we are excited to partner with Adansonia. Adansonia is an organization that has begun to collect clothes for people in Nimba.  Adansonia will do a music cultural exchange with the young people in the community we visit.
